Candidacy — Chief Operating Officer · Safe & Together Institute

I am because we are — and I already run the network you're hiring someone to build.

25 years as a Master Recovery Coach · Co-Founder, MAUNi & U-ACT · solo technical operator of a five-country training, coaching and treatment network

Safe & Together is looking for someone who can hold a double bottom line, run global operations solo when needed, and deploy agentic AI to multiply the capacity of a mission-driven team. That is the job I have been doing — for my own organisation, across five countries — for the last two years, on top of twenty-five years inside the work itself.

Why this role, why now

Ubuntu and "unify systems" are the same idea wearing different clothes.

The Ubuntu coaching framework I built my practice on rests on one premise: I am because we are. No survivor, no family, and no practitioner heals in isolation from the systems around them. Safe & Together's entire model — coordinating child welfare, courts and practitioners around survivor safety and perpetrator accountability — is that same premise applied at the level of institutions. I have spent twenty-five years operationalising it clinically, and the last eighteen months building the infrastructure, governance and AI tooling to operationalise it commercially across five countries. This page is the evidence.

Multi-region operating experience

I don't have a theory about running multi-country operations. I have the entity stack.

MAUNi and U-ACT operate as one Train→Empower→Treat network across five countries, each with its own legal entity, leadership, and reporting line back to a shared model — the exact "central capability, regional autonomy" balance this role asks for. I am the connective layer across all of it.

Strategic operating leadership

Train → Empower → Treat is the model. I run all three legs.

This isn't a slogan — it's the actual operating cadence I report against, leg by leg, across every country in the network.

01 — TRAIN

Certification & fidelity

RRWP, CPRC, CLERO and LERO certification pathways I designed and run, against ISO 17024 accreditation — the same fidelity discipline this role needs for SafetyNexus and product-launch training without diluting the core model.

02 — EMPOWER

Frameworks & IP

The Ubuntu coaching framework and the Collins Coaching Window (© 2005) — trademarked in the UK (UK00003783965) and Benelux (BOIP 1482177), with on-chain prior art dating to 2021. Product, protected.

03 — TREAT

Delivery on the ground

Foundation Clinic (Johannesburg), MAUNi Rainbow, and a private practice at 15 Harley Street built in partnership with The Anthony Group Practice — the commercial, fee-paying end of the same pipeline.

Agentic AI transformation of operations

I am the build/buy strategy. I built it myself, solo, in production.

Every item below is live, scheduled, and currently running the content, knowledge and case-management layer for the network — not a pilot, not a slide.

Knowledge layer
Two production OpenAI Assistants — public-facing and internal — each backed by its own vector store. The internal store indexes 51 meeting transcripts; the public store indexes published articles and YouTube content, refreshed automatically.
Orchestration
Three scheduled Cloudflare Workers on a weekly cron chain — content sync, internal sync, YouTube sync — plus a fourth feeding the RRWP training curriculum directly into the knowledge base.
Applications
A full Next.js / Supabase practice-management app (journal, goals, timeline, case management) with auth, transcript ingestion, and an encrypted-key API proxy Worker fronting the model layer.
Governance
Every deployment scoped, keyed and documented against the same survivor-informed, model-fidelity standard the training side already runs to — AI adoption with the same accountability as clinical practice.
Double-bottom-line accountability

I already report social impact and revenue as one metric, not two.

Lifetime Customer Value needs an organisation fluent in both columns of the ledger. Recovery work gave me the impact metric; running my own P&L gave me the revenue discipline.

$1 → $7
Recovery Capital ROI

Every dollar invested in recovery capital returns seven in social and economic value (2016 US Surgeon General's Report) — the impact metric underpinning every programme decision I make.

£7,224 / £14,280
Billed vs. market value, one month

A single month's invoice (84 development hours + 17.5 consulting hours) billed at roughly half independently-assessed market rate — cost-to-serve and value delivered, tracked and reported side by side.

Finance, people & systems

The unglamorous infrastructure of a real multi-country non-profit.

Board minutes, trust deeds, IP registrations, domain and identity infrastructure — the parts of operational excellence that don't show up in a pitch deck but determine whether the organisation survives an audit.

Board structure
U-ACT CIC — three directors: David Collins (Founder & Chair), Paresh, David Britton. Minutes recorded; Workspace and AI infrastructure agreed as next steps.
PBO status
SA U-ACT Trust — Section 18A Public Benefit Organisation, registered 13 November 2008, still active and compliant.
IP portfolio
UK trademark UK00003783965 (Classes 16/41), Benelux word mark BOIP 1482177, and 20 NFTs minted in 2021 as documented on-chain prior art.
Digital estate
Eight live coaching and clinical websites across the network, each on its own domain, deployed and maintained solo via Cloudflare and Vercel.
Relational, community-centered leadership

Strategic peer-ship isn't aspirational for me — it's the job I already do.

I report into a founder CEO, manage regional leads, and personally hold the relationship with the network's commercial, fee-paying clientele — including high-net-worth individuals and family systems referred through the Harley Street practice. The trust-based partnerships this role asks for are the ones I'm already maintaining.

Let's talk operations

I'm not pitching a theory of how I'd build this. I'm showing you the one I already run.

Everything on this page is live and checkable — entities, registrations, deployments, schedules. I'd welcome the chance to walk your team through how it maps onto Safe & Together's roadmap, country by country.
